This is not a drill folks, we’ve got exactly four weeks to go until Christmas is upon us, so we think here at Michael Murphy HQ it’s high-time to get serious.
We’ll be breaking out the Christmas movies this week to immerse ourselves in feeling fully festive and we encourage everyone to take a leaf out of our book.
Let’s take a closer look at our top five favourite Christmas movies of all time!
1) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
We’d be lying if we said we couldn’t sympathise a little with some of the Grinches anti-social habits now we’re a little older, but we’re still absolutely mesmerised by the festive haven that is Whoville. Jim Carrey plays a blinder as the misunderstood, anti-hero of the film and the makeup and costumes are still awe-inspiring nearly 20 years later.
2) It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)
It’s a Christmas classic we just keep coming back to, the story of George Bailey and what life would have been like if he’d never been more always brings a tear to our eye.
3) Home Alone (1990)
It wouldn’t be a list of must-watch Christmas movies if we didn’t include the famous Home Alone. Watching Kevin navigate life after his family accidentally forget him while going on vacation, while fending off two mean burglars is both amusing and festive all at once!
4) Die Hard (1988)
An alternative Christmas classic for those of us who get a little tired of cheesy festive movies, watching Bruce Willis fight to defend the hostages at Nakatomi Plaza against uber-villain Hans Gruber never fails to put us in the festive spirit.
5) The Santa Clause (1994)
How would you have reacted if you found out your Dad had replaced Santa Clause? Fulfilling childhood dreams since 1994, the Santa Clause is a firm favourite in our books.
