It’s officially Miranda Priestly’s favourite season… Awards! And this season awards delivers (without fail) unforgettable style moments — from dramatic silhouettes to timeless elegance. We can bet you’d never considered that while the Golden Globes red carpet is all about fashion, the same ideas translate just as well into interiors! 

We’ve matched some standout red carpet looks from last night’s Golden Globes to furniture pieces that capture the same mood (at least, we think so). Remember, great style doesn’t stop at your wardrobe; it can shape your home too.

The Look: Kate Hudson

Most definitely taking the Best Dressed award home with her (at least, in this blog writer’s humble opinion), Kate Hudson really  leaned into elegance and glam for her red carpet style. Focusing on structure, her dress drapes beautifully, all while relying on careful lines to keep the look cohesive.

If classic elegance is something you’re after, then the Pierce sofa collection fits the bill. Again, clean lines support a graceful elegance; making for a perfect blend of structure and style. Laufey’s bold sunset-coloured hue makes a statement all on its own. The flowing train draws your eye, the draping of the fabric holds your attention, and the colour is incredible all on it’s own. We love it!

The Look: Emma Stone

She’s stunning. Gorgeous. No notes! The bright yellow of Stone’s ensemble does a great job of balancing bright tones without overloading the eye. Minimal styling makes for an understated, modern take on red carpet couture.

The Match: 

If brights are your thing, the vibrant gold of the Shelly bed frame is right up your alley (or is it down your street?). This piece can easily stand alone in a minimal bedroom with pared down styling, or you can lean into the bold hue and accessorise to your hearts content.

The Look: Jessie Buckley

Irish actress Jessie Buckley left the awards with a Golden Globe for Best Female Actor — definitely the winning accessory in our eyes! Her gown was soft and minimal (definitely a trend this year), in a lovely pale blue. There’s just something about letting the dress do the work here — with understated styling and timeless design, Buckley is an icon of classic elegance.
