We’re back this week with our next #followfriday blog post and we’re positively swooning over the blog and Instagram of the interior designer, Lucy Barlow.

Barlow and her brother Max founded the interior design studio in 2013 based in London’s Holland Park.

The brother and sister duo quickly gained a reputation for creating bright and playful spaces, with few studios offering the entire interior architecture, decoration and lighting service that they do.

In an interview with Pooky, Lucy describes her interior style as Maximalist at heart: ” I love creating spaces full of interest which offer up more and more every-time you look at them,”

Lucy’s work often represents a mix of old antiques and traditional elements blended with contemporary, modern style. We particularly love this toile wallpaper/industrial bed frame combo.

“I take huge inspiration from Neoclassicism: its proportions, symmetry and ornamental flourishes, and I often reference art and fashion to bring in bolder colours and patterns,” explains Lucy.

We’re particular fans of Lucy’s maximalist work and simply adore the clever clash of prints used to create the aesthetic in the bedroom pictured below.
